on the rocks

on the rocks

me and mike went out shooting again the other day. trying to find some new parks to shoot at, found this little place on ridge road in grimsby. had to do some intensive (and fun) climbing to get to the best waterfalls. 30 second exposure at f8, iso 100, using a tripod and a couple ND filters to make the scene dark enough for silky smooth exposures.

  1. Awesome!!! It reminds me of like… cotton being pulled over a brick wall. You know, sort of like a smoother version of that fake spider web stuff people put outside of their houses on halloween! ๐Ÿ˜€

great! You got a really nice effective with the repetitive-ness of the lines too!

  2. That's amazing! I love how smooth and even ghost-like the water looks. It actually kinda reminds me of fire; if you've ever sat around taking pictures of fire, this looks like a white version of it, it's really cool. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love it – could stare at it all day. Actually, I might end up doing that; there's nothing for me to do today haha.

  3. Real good stuff. It does seem a touch oof though but still works. The only thing I dislike is the branch, you can see it in my pictures as well. It's a bummer but not much you can do. Looking forward to shooting some more

  4. Thanks guys, I appreciate all that. Its awesome that you guys care enough to look and comment, really-thanks!

I agree mike, it is a little OOF or motion blur…not sure which. Probably OOF as I was using liveview haha.
