univers booklet

This was a class assignment where we had to choose a classic typeface and cover the history, details, and personality of the typeface. We also had to include a demonstration of all common characters.

A challenge of this project was that it could only be 2 colours. I used this as starting point to bringing my book back to the era in which Univers was created by using red/brown as my ink choices and a cream paper and treating the type with a worn-out effect.

The last page had to display someones elses work that used the typeface well. I chose Otl Aicher and his work on the 1972 olympics.
